Overall, my expectations were exceeded and I'd probably go back. The prices were extremely reasonable and was, in my opinion, the best meal $15 can buy you in Heathcote. My suspicion is that most of the food is probably frozen. But the place resembled a ghost town and I wouldn't blame them for not having everything fresh on-hand. Only being busier would probably improve that.

Okay, this place will take you on a roller coaster of emotions and make you question the very nature of a restaurant.

The food is very nice but the surroundings are still to be developed. The bloke is trying to run the restaurant on his own and desperately needs your custom so that he can build it up. Lovely fellow and we enjoyed our visit. See you there sometime?

Great food and people. BYO allowed. Lot of work to be done on the aesthetics of the place - it's a converted petrol station. Definitely worth a visit for the food though!

The decor is confusing and doesn't seem to have changed a lot since being a truck stop. The sign above the dormant petrol bowsers reads "FOOD", and until now had I even thought that was a reality.

The food: we ordered a lamb vindaloo and a palak paneer. The vindaloo was oddly tomato-ey, but not unpleasant and I would call "ok". The paneer was pretty good. The naan was pretty lacklustre and, I think, pretty obviously bought in and heated.

Considering all I have written above, my expectations were low. Super low. But being very curious, I just had to know. So we set off on this Friday evening on expedition for curry, full of optimism but empty of confidence.

Living locally, the initial feeling I had when hearing there was an Indian restaurant in town was one of confusion. It is not obvious that this place is either a) a restaurant or b) ever open. But rest assured, it is both a restaurant and is also sometimes open. Their online presence really does nothing to answer either of the two points above, so I felt compelled to write something in the hope that it might aid anyone else who might be looking for this place.
